EDUC 4141

Exclusion(s): Unavailable to students with credit for EDUC4041. This course focuses on the teaching of science at the middle and secondary levels. In this course students will focus on effective teaching methodologies, including inquiry-based learning, experiential education and problem-based learning approaches. Additionally, this course will examine lesson planning, the use of learning resources, unit planning development, and assessment and evaluation for the effective delivery of the science curriculum at the secondary level as outlined by the Nova Scotia Department of Education Curriculum. Laboratory work will be assigned from the middle and secondary science level in the teachable area(s) for which students were admitted.
