Exclusion(s): Unavailable to students with credit for EDUC4043. This course builds on the research and practice of teaching science at the middle and secondary levels that was introduced in EDUC 4141. In this course students will continue to focus on effective teaching methodologies, including inquiry-based learning, experiential education and problem-based learning approaches. Additionally, this course will continue to examine lesson planning, the use of learning resources, unit planning development, and assessment and evaluation in the sciences. Laboratory work from the middle and secondary science level in the teachable area(s) for which students were admitted will be revisited.
