Exclusion(s): Unavailable to students with credit for EDUC4045. This course focuses on the teaching of social studies at the middle and secondary levels. In this course students will focus on effective teaching strategies for the various types of social studies courses, integrating Treaty Education, culturally responsive teaching, and social action and community in the classroom. Additionally, lesson planning, the use of learning resources for social studies, unit planning development, inquiry-based learning, assessment and evaluation will be revisited.
