- Lab Manual
Course rules
- Passing requirements
- Earn at least 30/60 in Mastery Points, 15/30 in the lab component including 12.5/25 from Lab Work, and 50/100 overall.
- Exam calculators
- Use only the approved non-programmable scientific calculator for your student program.
- Group exams
- The group portion of each Mastery Exam is mandatory and contributes 20% of that exam grade.
- Missed exams
- For illness, send a doctor’s note to the lecture coordinator within 72 hours to seek approval for a Friday make-up.
- Lab attendance
- Attendance is mandatory for in-person labs, and experiments must be completed during scheduled section times.
- Missed labs
- Email the lab team within 24 hours to arrange a make-up; availability is not guaranteed.
- Late lab reports
- Late reports are accepted only before the experiment’s late-work deadline.
- Lab safety
- Complete safety, lab map, and WHMIS requirements before performing experiments; incomplete requirements do not qualify for make-up labs.
- Pre-labs
- Pre-lab assignments are individual work and have no deadline extensions.
