Fluid Mechanics I

This course introduces students to fluid mechanics. The course covers the following topics: definition of fluid; fluid properties; variation of pressure in a fluid; hydrostatic forces; buoyancy; dimensional analysis; kinematics of flow; control volumes; differential equations for fluid flow; continuity equation; momentum equation; energy equation; and flow in closed conduits.
