This course introduces the accounting model and basic accounting concepts and principles needed to read, analyze and interpret financial statements. An understanding of the role of accounting in society will be explored. Sound ethical judgment for financial decision-making will be stressed. Emphasis is on accounting from a "user's" perspective. Three hours a week
