OCCU 5023

Building on OCCU 5013 and OCCU 5014, this course focuses on strengthening familiarity with and application of occupational therapy theories, practice models and frames of reference. Practice processes and developing clinical reasoning are central, with an emphasis on application in multiple practice contexts. Social determinants of health, universal design, and accessibility are flagged as key to working in communities and institutions. Drawing on critical disability perspectives and theories from around the globe, the course cultivates critical reflexivity, skills for questioning received knowledge.
