Fieldwork IV
During this final fieldwork learning experience students focus on consolidating and refining core competencies, critically reflecting on practice, and seeking new challenges with minimal guidance from preceptors. Though fieldwork experiences and expectations will vary by site, students become independent in working with individuals, groups, organizations and/or communities, implementing the full process of occupational therapy practice. By the completion of this course, students demonstrate confidence and consistency in using sound clinical reasoning and making skilled judgments showing readiness for entry-level professional practice. Under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists, students will demonstrate skills and professional behaviour for safe and respectful practice. Students implement critical thinking and critical reflexivity in practice, advocating and acting to enhance equity in occupational participation.
