Primary prevention of mental illness and addiction will be a key focus, along with evidence-informed therapeutic approaches. Ethical standards and ethical decision-making will be emphasized, as well as processes for navigating mental health and addictions care within and beyond the formal healthcare system. Labs will focus on applying clinical reasoning and practice skills for assessment, intervention and documentation.
